We visited the orphanage/school in the country side which was a breath of fresh are. Being in the hub of Port-Au-Prince all these days; traffic, dusty roads, hustle-n-bustle of people getting everywhere - made seeing the countryside a nice detox from the big city. it was a bumpy ride (literally) to the country; dirt muddy roads, dusty roads as well, ditches. However, having the atlantic coast to the right of me was refreshing.
All the children and adults we treated, all with smiles, soaked in the treatment like it was food for the soul. Because of the language barrier, they couldn't ask much questions and just TRUSTED us. They all seemed to respond well to treatment; relaxed, slept in there chairs, released any trauma they held on tight to.
This amazing trip has totally put my life in a whole different perspective. All i stress over in America means absolutely nothing since I've been here. Thought i was here to help, yet being here has actually helped me.

Do something that reminds you of your youth; eating a certain something, a TV program, a certain game. This activates the inner child in you and bring healing and wellness for your body and mind. My go to activity? Coloring books and watching repeats of Three’s Company…when Chrissy was still in the show!

Awaken your energy from last night’s slumber. Do a couple low back stretches and side stretches to warm up the kidneys. This will encourage a healthy water metabolism to properly circulate any edema that may have occurred during the night such as face or leg edema.
Warming up the kidneys will also strengthen the bladder to help prevent any urinary imbalances such as frequent urine or urinary retention. So, love your kidneys and rejuvenate its energy with a few stretches, this will definitely help keep you energized yet calm throughout the day.

Replenish your Qi from the weeks activity by bringing in more oxygen into your body. This can come in the form of cardiovascular exercise and yoga. Breathing exercises such as meditation or prayer are also an excellent way to welcome fresh air into the body.
So this weekend, and every weekend, make it a joyful habit to replenish your Qi and wash out the body and mind with ‘fresh air’ exercises. Go out and smell the roses!
